Personal Experience

With nearly 20 years of experience, Jivan heads both our Labour and Employment and Admiralty and Shipping practice. He also brings with him a strong track record in managing complex litigation and arbitration disputes.

He advises on a wide range of disputes, with particular expertise in maritime, employment, and corporate disputes. Known for his strategic insight and practical approach, he represents local and international clients across diverse industries.

Jivan regularly appears before Sri Lankan courts and arbitral tribunals and is valued for delivering solutions that balance legal precision with commercial needs.

His commitment to ethical practice is reflected in his contribution to developing the Anti-Sexual Harassment and Abuse Policy for the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka.
